ORDERING YOUR CAKE

 

Simple! - Choose from a either a Bespoke Cake - or a cake from the ONLINE SHOP

To order a bespome cake, send an email to rosies.cakes@yahoo.co.uk or the Rosie's Cakes
Facebook page stating the design/theme you have in mind, the date you require it for and how many portions you require roughly (so I can advise which size you'd be best off with and price it up accordingly) and I will get back to you with design options & a quote as soon as I can.

(Feel free to send photos of cakes you like/would like me to take elements from!)

 

I aim to reply in 1/2 days but please be advised that during particularly busy periods this could be 3/4 days.

PRICES FOR BESPOKE CAKES: Prices generally depend on the level of detail involved. Each cake is treated like a piece of art-  bespoke & tailored to your style & budget with different options available.

 

WHY IS THERE NO CONTACT NUMBER ON THE WEBSITE? Here at Rosie's Cakes there's only lil' old me to bake, ice, decorate, make figures, run & edit the website, shop for stock, clean, price up quotes & see to collections - I'm a bit of a one man band so to speak!

I do not have a set price list for bespoke cakes, it would therefore be impossible to give a quote on the spot over the phone, (not to mention I'm usually knee deep in buttercream!). It's hard to down tools while in the process of making a masterpiece for you lovely lovely handmsome lot! It is for this reason that all orders are arranged and placed via email/Facebook.

Bespoke cake orders involve researching your theme, familiarising myself with characters/TV shows/films/items to be on the cake if I'm not already familiar with them, looking at any photos/ideas you send, discussing colour schemes, coming up with ways to incorporate your ideas into the cake & visualising the design in my head, at which point the design will be typed up & the different options laid out with the corresponding prices. This process involves creating a unique design from scratch.

 

Response times: Due to typing up multiple quotes per week for you lovely handsome lot (along with baking/decorating cakes, updating the website/facebook page & seeing to collections), due to time constraints this may mean replies for bespoke cakes may take up to 3/4 days (although I aim to get back within 2 days if at all possible).

If selecting a cake from the ONLINE SHOP, the waiting time for a response is considerably less due to the designs & prices already being pre-set. The response time for a cake sfrm the Online Shop is usually the same day. Why not head over to the SHOP page & see if there is a suitable design waiting for you!

PAYMENT

 

A non refundable deposit is payable for all Novelty cakes by bank transfer with the remainder payable in cash upon collection. This is to cover the cost of materials used and to cover any work undertaken previous to the cake being collected ie, figures made in advance/special items ordered in. This also covers any other bookings turned away unnecessarily if the cake is cancelled. This also secures your space in the diary.

 

 

COLLECTIONS

 

A suitable collection time will be arranged to suit your needs & where possible I always try to offer to make the cake for the day before it's required to leave a bigger window for collection so you're not rushing around on the day (please state your preferred collection day).

 

 

CORPORATE CAKES/EVENTS

SHORT NOTICE CAKES

 

Short notice cakes welcome! If I have the correct stock in & the time available I will always do my best to oblige with your cake emergencies! However I only have so many spaces per week so once at maximum capacity I unfortunately have to turn people awa.y To avoid disappoinment - Book early! Many of the cakes on the ONLINE SHOP are available at short notice!

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Dairy free cakes can be made on request. Unfortunately I am unable to offer gluten free or vegan cakes at this time. Due to time constraints I haven't yet had chance to trial recipes for vegan/gluten free cakes but at some point I am hoping to.

ALLERGIES

 

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the business I am unable to guarantee a nut free environment, therefore cannot take orders for cakes intended to be consumed/in the vicinity of anyone suffering froma food allergy.
